Dr. Elouise Jesper Shines Spotlight on PCN Leadership at Best Practice, Birmingham

Nuneaton and Bedworth PCN Clinical Director, Dr. Elouise Jesper, took centre stage at the recent Best Practice Show held at the NEC. Interviewed by Tara Humphrey, CEO of THC Primary Care at the PCN Transformation Theatre, Dr. Jesper captivated a packed auditorium as she shared her insights on The Role of the Clinical Director in 2024.
Joined by fellow Clinical Director Dr. Mohammed Sattar from Chapeltown Leeds PCN, the discussion offered a dynamic exploration of the opportunities and challenges facing PCN leadership. The audience gained valuable perspectives on the similarities and differences between their respective PCNs, with a focus on patient care, trust, and collaboration.
Dr. Jesper spoke passionately about her commitment to addressing the health and care needs of the Nuneaton and Bedworth patient population. She highlighted the benefits of economies of scale in managing the PCN, effectively working alongside Clinical Director Dr. Richard Nedjati, emphasizing the importance of having a strong, valued management and patient-facing team.
Key initiatives were also spotlighted during the interview. These included:

- Social Prescribing and Health and Wellbeing Team: An embedded approach supporting holistic patient care.
- Rapid Health Online Consultation Platform: A triage system now available across 13 member practices, streamlining access to patient care.

The session emphasized the importance of collaboration among the PCN’s 15 member practices and how much Dr. Jesper values the strong relationships that have been built over time. A shared commitment to trust and teamwork was identified as the foundation for achieving the best health and care outcomes for local communities.
Tara Humphrey’s engaging questions and thoughtful comments kept the discussion lively, earning praise from attendees. The interview reinforced the critical role of Clinical Directors in driving transformation and innovation in primary care, leaving the audience inspired by the shared vision for the future.
Here at Nuneaton and Bedworth PCN we are proud to have such a dedicated leadership team guiding our work towards improved health outcomes for all.

Nuneaton & Bedworth PCN Lead Nurse Shortlisted for Prestigious Innovation Award!

Nuneaton & Bedworth PCN are proud to announce that the Menopause Support Group, implemented by Nurse Nedjati with Dr Wrigley was nominated and shortlisted for the Gill Schweigert Innovation Award in October 2024.

This award honours the legacy of Gill Schweigert by recognising a nurse or nursing team that has demonstrated exceptional innovation in patient care, implementation of new schemes or quality-driven improvements.

The Menopause Clinics have been a successful support network with patients across Nuneaton & Bedworth providing positive feedback.

The PCN is thrilled that the support group and Nurse Nedjati have been recognised for their continued great work.

Here are a few words from Nurse Nedjati on being shortlisted for the award.

I was so pleased to hear the Menopause Group had been shortlisted for a nurse innovation award via the Training Hub. It is an area I feel very passionate about and was fortunate that Dr Wrigley from the Grange Medical Centre felt the same way. Between us we have supported many women as they move through the perimenopause and menopause years, offering support and advice as well as a safe place to share their own experiences.
Thank you to the PCN for the support they have shown me to enable this group to get off the ground.
Here's to the next 12 months 🎉
